Professional Bagpipe Tuition

Lynda has been teaching the bagpipes and leading Pipe Bands for over 20 years.  An accomplished soloist and band player, Lynda has won numerous solo and band prizes across North America and Scotland.  In 2000, Lynda joined the faculty at The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada in Prince Edward Island where she taught piping full-time, lead pipe bands and performed for just over five years. Following her time in PEI, Lynda took on the role as Pipe Sergeant of the Grade One Peel Regional Police Pipe Band for three years and as a player with the band for nine years.  Lynda is an accredited PPBSO Adjudicator and is now based out of Summerside, PEI.


 

Angela Mackay has been piping for over 30 years in both pipe bands and solo competition and has been teaching for over 20 years.  Angela has competed with pipe bands at every level and has spent many years as one of North America’s top amateur soloists before stepping away from competition to start a family.  During Angela’s competitive career, she won Ontario Champion Supreme titles in every grade and numerous Piper of the Day honours as well as awards in international competition.  Angela is currently registered as an instructor under the PPBSO website.

 

 


Andrew has been piping in pipe bands and solo competition for 20 years moving through the solo amateur grades with numerous awards in each grade level. Andrew's solo amateur career ended in 2013 when he won the Nicol-Brown Chalice and piper of the day in Maxville as one of North America's top amateur pipers.  Andrew has since moved to the professional grade. In pipe bands, Andrew has played in almost every grade of competition and has, at times, lead pipe bands onto the field.  Andrew is based in Kitchener, Ontario.

 

 


Professional Snare Drumming Tuition

Private instruction is available with Mitchell Mackay Jr. Mitchell was taught by Doug Stronach and has played in the Grade 1 Peel Regional Police Pipe Band. Mitchell has also played with the Grade 1 Toronto Police Pipe Band.

 

 

 


Professional Tenor Drumming Tuition

Private instruction is available with Devon Mackay out or Guelph. Devon is a professional tenor drummer and has played with Peel Regional Police Pipe Band and previously played with Toronto Police Grade 1. She has won both the Novice and Intermediate Rhythm Tenor competitions at Winter Storm, and won the Intermediate Rhythm Tenor Champion Supreme from the PPBSO in 2010.
